Did anyone out there have a problem with the language? or their sons having problem with swearing...such a hard thing to explain that its okay to swear for a movie...right?
I think that is your personal choice ad varies with children and age. My dd has issues with the language more then my DS and I find that I now have to use the language when we practice the sides or else it trips up my dd when the reader actually says the word. But once we have practiced that way she realizes its just "acting talk" and not ok outside of acting.
Yeah. More and more scripts are pushing the boundaries. We each have our own personal lines (I hope) and need to go with what works for our families. Vacation was bad, and I got one this week that was so much worse. We evaluate the risks and benefits of each script as a family and of course I would never make my kids do one they didn't want to do. Some we do and others we pass on.
Oh, wanted to add...make sure you get the whole script on questionable ones! They may away you one way or the other!!! I liked Vacation better after the whole script and the other project worse after the whole one!
Right super uncomfortable about a 10 year old saying "queer". they dont even really know what they are saying just that the words are bad! I agree vacation script was fine...probs will be pg13 or rated R b/c of the language.
