Keeping in line with "samples"... Ford Models has a very interesting submission form, where they allow you to upload your photos and not only that, if you click on the submission guidelines they explain they do not want professional photos, no make-up an no poses! They have samples of what they want to see. (They also had a free open call for kids) which is nice. http://scouting.fordmodels.com/general/ ALMOST ALL NYC Modeling agencies have a specific day where there are open calls for each division..check their websites and/or they also have days where you can drop off your portfolio. You can also see if you can find some ads for new photographers looking for "models" where they just want to build up THEIR professional portfolios to show new clients and will not charge you for the sitting. Just never go by yourself to any photographer's shoot!!!

So sorry I missed this! Yes, the Young Actors Studio is a legit acting school in the LA area. They are one of several on my list of suggested acting workshops and classes for young actors, which I'll include here. Acting Classes for Young Actors - LA THEATRICAL The Actors Circle – Culver City Marcie Smolin and Staff http://www.theactorscircle.com Marnie Cooper – Studio City http://www.marniecooperschool.com/index.php John Homa http://johnhoma.com Kristopher Kyer - Burbank http://kyerworkshop.com/index.html John Kirby (323) 939-5284, 441 1/2 N. In addition to regular acting classes in LA… Classes taught by Casting Directors are the BEST WAY to get on their radar for future casting, as well as learning A LOT at the same time and having that training listed on your resume! Yes, acting classes and/or workshops go on your resume under the Training category. You may have misread what Truthteller was referring to. He was probably saying not to put an on-camera acting class "scene" on a resume under the film or TV category. Classes are usually ongoing from week to week and workshops usually have a set amount of classes per session. But, that is not always the case, depending on what the instructor has chosen to call the classes. Either way, they can go on your resume under Training. On a side note... A tip for ALL young actors, wanting to become professionals in this industry. It is a good idea to get used to communicating professionally by writing professionally with appropriate spelling and grammar, instead of writing as if you are texting someone. Save the texting abbreviations for the phone. - MIB - "If you can dream, you can do. Making it happen is up to you!"
