My daughter sang in May and was called back to dance in the June callbacks. We haven't heard anything since then. She felt like it went well, but haven't heard a word. My son had a great time on Sunday. There were about 6 Equity boys there and about 30 non-Equity boys for the dance call at 10am. They had them break into two groups and spent 2 hrs with each group learning 2 dances. We then had a break and came back for 3pm vocals. There were some additional boys there for the vocals to make a total of about 60 I would say. They saw my son and I imagine they saw the rest but we left after my son sang individually. I was very impressed with the way that they ran the auditions and the time that they gave each child. Nora Brennan herself was there and seemed very warm with the kids. I don't know what they're still looking for, but we had a lovely experience and we were glad that we went.

Hi again all, we just got an email that our girl is coming back for another callback next Monday, 10/1, to dance and sing with the music director. She went to the 9/9 ECC for singers, and then also a dance callback. Anyone else? Anyone know more about how many they are narrowed down to, or how many they are taking?

Congrats! How exciting! How old is your dd? What other theater has she done? We are out (never was really in, other than a request to submit on tape -- is young, tiny, and a terrible dancer), but it's still fun to hear about the journeys of the other girls!

She's 10 and has done some community theater, some children's theater camps, and a show choir at our local performing arts center. She hasn't done any Bway or NY stuff. (Yet???!)

P.S. What does DD mean?? (Tech un-savvy!)

So hope she gets it. Plan to see the show in the summer and would be fun to "know" a performer in it!

DD is "darling daughter". It's not just here, but universal thread/posting lingo, like LOL (laugh out loud) or TIA (thanks in advance). DH is husband, and DS is son.

We just sent a tape the other day but haven't heard anything - don't know whether to go to open audition. They asked for a tape so I will see if we hear anything. My daughter has just done local theatre and is taking voice. GLTA!!!

Any CBs from this past Sunday? Sept 23rd? We went for the first time.

Recieved email this evening that two of my students received callbacks for Monday October 1st. This will be their third audition. One attended the vocal callbacks on 9/20 and the other a dance call back that same day. It appears there are at least two groups they are seeing on 10/1 and that it may be divided by height. One girl is in the first session the other is the second.

Do you know what their heights are?

Hi folks. Does anyone remember the sections of the music that the dances were set to? The dances were Bruce and revolting children. My student doesn't quite know which part of Bruce the dance was set to, and the email about Monday's callback says to review them before then. We think revolting children was to the chorus. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks! Their heights are 4'5 and 4'8 and they are being seen in separate groups. Not sure on Bruce..thinking maybe the beginning when Trunchbull is talking? Has anyone had a third audition yet - or is their first round of thirds?
