I posted here before about a similar question but now I realize I did not communicate my question accurately. I need to know how to create an IMDB page for my child. I think she must have the page in place before any new credits can be listed. Is that right? If so, how do I create the page? If not, is it possible to just add credits to the film/TV project without the actor having a page? Please advise.

You cannot create an IMDB page. IMDB pages are added for actors by the television/movie production staff. If your child has a principal role in the movie/television show, the child will be added to give him/her credit.

For instance, my daughters booked a principal role in a movie. When we searched the movie in IMDB, we noticed that they had been added to IMDB as they were cast members. Thereafter, we were able to add a biography, photographs, resume, trivia and video clips to their IMDB pages.

If your child has had a principal role in a movie/television show and has not been given credit for their role in IMDB, you should contact the production staff.

That is absolutely not true. You can create an imdb page. I know several people who did just that before their kids had any imdb credits. I'm not recommending that, just saying it can be done. If you do, then when production adds the credit, it will appear. You can also notify imdb of credits yourself, but they have to be verified by imdb.

I started a IMDB page for my kid after production kept adding his credit to other actors with the same name. Took a while to sort it out but, you have to be proactive to make sure the beginning credits go to the right actor. I then had to change his IMDB name to reflect his SAG name. (Added middle initial)
I also joined IMDBPro....

Thanks to everyone. Yes, my child does have a principle role credit but unfortunately, the production co is very slow in adding it. I was told I could do it myself, then the production co will have to approve it before it appears. I will try that.

Yes, you start your own page...and you get 3 pics for free, after that, it costs $10 for you to post additional pictures...if other people post them it does"t cost you anything. There is a fee for a regular IMDB page and additional for Pro..

How do you add a picture of your child? My DD has an IMDB page (with just one credit), which I had nothing to do with, I guess the production company handled it. But now I would like to add DD's headshot and I simply cannot figure out how to do it!! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Kidsdad...that's the old fee structure! Now you get 100 pictures free! Can you believe it? Why anyone would need that many is beyond me!!

ah.. that's how long it's been since I looked at the thing..100 pics is a lot...I guess over a career it can get up there...
