My children, daughter 10 and son 8, want to be actors. I am clueless about how to start them. They are both in the local theatre company and both love it. We are in San Antonio. Will agents from another state (such as California)take them on? Any help would be awesome!!

Are you close to Dallas or Houston? Both areas have some professional work. You could test things out getting an agent in one or both of those markets first. Then if they thrive there take the LA step.

One issue with trying the LA market first is Texas is a right to work state and you can work union and non union because you aren't forced to join. In LA you have to join after a couple of jobs. I have heard joining the union makes it difficult to work in Texas.
