I recently moved to LA from completing my MFA, and I'm looking for the best way to target managers/agents to send out submissions. I've gotten a few credits in the 3 months I've been out here, and I've gotten very positive feedback from casting director workshops and showcases. I feel like the next step is getting representation, but I feel a bit overwhelmed when I look at all the managers and agencies. How do I narrow it down?

As there is no rating system for managers, I would do a search on this board using the "find" button at the top of the main screen. Agents and managers have been discussed many times in forums. Truthteller, our acting guru, has also compiled a list of commercials agents based on size and strength. I found my manager by perusing this board. I emailed them my materials and was asked to audition for them. Break legs and welcome to LA. It's a whole different animal than NYC or the east coast, where I used to work as an actor. But work is to be had.

Thanks for your reply amo. I've tried searching this forum for managers, but I haven't even come across a specific name yet. It all seems like very general information. Is there a specific thread you can point me to?
