I prefer that. I don't want to pay to do the same thing for a whole month.
And besides, that's more like film/tv. You're not going to get a month to learn a scene. You can get the final draft the day of shooting, so why not prepare in a quicker fashion?
Just learn your lines and pray that your partner does too and listen and react.

I'd say that's the case for most professional classes. A week is ample time especially if you can get in some rehearsal with your partner. More than a week (unless it is a Chekhov play) can sometimes feel like overkill.

From the classes that I audited so far. Chubbuck and Speiser have you do the same scene a few times but yea, I do agree that a scene every week is more like the rate tv actors have to go by... However, when I was at Annie Grindlay there were times I had trouble absorbing the material (also a new scene every week) and it wasn't even off book... I got to held the script and still struggled so it will take some getting used to going off book for sure.
