I am currently enrolled in an acting school but it is more theatre acting oriented. I want to try film acting and I would like to know if there are any good film acting schools in New York, which could possibly offer classes in the summer. ( I have heard New York Film Academy. Thank you

NYFA only sucks because it is taught by NYU grad students. In NYC noone really goes to "Film" acting classes. Look for acting classes and schools that will train you to act. To quote Denzel Washington,"you have to learn how to act, dance, sing, move on stage, that is the only place you learn how to act, in my humble opinion." Learn to act then apply what you learn to film. You learn to Film Act by acting in student and independent films. Do a lot of them and you will discover the difference between stage and film. BUT, you still need to learn to act. For that stage is where you want to be. Search this forum and Backstage for NYC acting schools.
