Hello, Board Members Smiler

My name is Denise. I am a newbie to acting. Well, I've acted on stage as a child quite a bit but I haven't performed since then. This month I am turning 36 years old. (Yay Me!)

I was wondering if there were any members in the Alpharetta, GA area. My children and I live out here (I am a full-time IT Project Manager) and I'd love to know about some of the resources in the area.

I'm totally excited about my future in the entertainment business.

Hi Denise!

My name is Nika. I am 35 years old. I live in Atlanta too! I'm thinking of taking up acting too! Unlike, you I don't even have childhood performance under my belt. Never acted before in my life but it has always haunted me and I am really considering signing up for classes soon. We should meet for coffee one day and talk. It would be nice to have someone my age seeking the same thing. I'm looking for acting classes in Atlanta, but haven't decided where to go yet.

Have you considered voiceover acting? I belong to a few groups on Meetup dot com.

Proof positive that you're never too old! I think we "older" actors have a more well-rounded perspective on life and our emotions anyway.

Hi! I'm on meetup.com too. I'll send you a personal message on here tomorrow! Yes, I have considered voiceover acting moreso to diversify than anything. I also been curious about it.

Yes, I'd think we'd definitely have an advantage there!

Not too old but you just have to work harder to prove you can work and audition against people in your age range that have full resumes.
