Aww, haha this is kind of amusing. I read this forum religiously but barely post, even on fairly straightforward topics like this one. It's funny that when I finally post again, consciously trying to make my post "fool proof," somebody still misunderstands it. I fail.

Today's film an television is actually a lot different from a decade or two ago. There is more "realness" in film and directors seem to be looking for more original and real people. I have a scar from cancer surgery right on my lip. It really bothered my at first but now it doesn't.
Joaquin Phoenix had a scar on his lip and that never stopped him from working. Ultimately it's up to you, though. Me, I prefer watching someone who looks natural.
