Additional Project Info: The project is to reshoot a short scene from any feature film. The purpose of the project is to give the director experience working with actors and visa versa. The scene could be a good addition for someone trying to build their reel.

Short dialogue scene between two people from slacker comedy feature film.

[ RANDY ]
Lead / Male / All Ethnicities / 23 - 29 years: Randy is a clerk at a Video store. Randy is a prime example of the typical slacker: He works in a dead-end job, has no respect for customers, and arrives at work late every day. He periodically closes the store (during work hours) to chat with his best friend Donald, a gas station clerk. Whereas Donald believes that title dictates behavior, Randy does whatever he pleases. He has been known to order porn movies for the video store in front of customers, spit water in customers' faces, and intrude on private conversations about sex.
[ DONALD ]
Lead / Male / All Ethnicities / 23 - 29 years: Donald is 22, works at a gas station clerk and still lives with his parents. He feels that because he runs the store, he is independent and in control of his life, and yet, he is a push-over who often agrees to work when he doesn't have to. He frequently gets into debates ranging from philosophy to Star Wars with his best friend, fellow clerk Randy, who works at the adjacent Video Store.


The film also deals with Donald's problematic romantic relationships. He has difficulty dealing with his girlfriend even though she seems to genuinely care for him. Donald is infatuated with ex-girlfriend and seems intent on rekindling that relationship.

Oh come on! Do you think they are wording these scenes like this because they are remakes and they think they can trick actors into doing the scene if they don't say "Scene from Clerks"?

Synopsis
A re-imagining of a scene from The Lion King with a fresh Asain styled paint job. Timon and Pumba juxtaposed as two "ancient abbot" styled monks. (Similar to redbrick robed monks made famous in 70's style Kung Fu movies.) And Simbah, a young sailor washed ashore and revived, eager to learn of the teachings known as Haikunanmatat.

A wise and ancient abbot style monk. He speech is slow and cautious. Though he is indeed enlightened he has moments where his clarity is lapsed. However, his heart is indeed in the right place, a forever friend to Timon they live their life practicing the art of haikunamatat.

BALD HEAD A wise and refined monk. He speaks slow and cautiously. Despite his time spent in the solidarity of monk-hood he is very worldly. Despite being very serious, dedicated and spiritual he is not with out a sense of humor. The character often finishes his opposites sentences; as well as begins them. An excellent aptitude for synergy welcomed.

THERE IS NUDITY IN THIS PROJECT.

Clothes Free Productions is seeking theatre artists to engage in a workshop to develop a theatre piece about nudity.

[ MALES & FEMALES ]
Have you ever been cast in a play that required nudity? Were you Terrified? Did you turn down the job for this reason? Are you interested in getting over your discomfort with nudity so that you are free and uninhibited and game for whatever that dream role requires? I am conducting a workshop that explores the state of being naked. I am interested in studying and comparing how we interact with others while clothed vs. while naked. This work is for a book that I am writing that has been accepted for publication. I am a playwright and a director, and much of my work will be applied to work in theatre and will perhaps become the basis for a theatre piece in the future. If you don't have much experience being naked, and you are somewhat uncomfortable with it, then you are exactly the kind of person I am looking for in this workshop.

Benefits of participation include: becoming more comfortable in your skin and with your body, improving your self-esteem and body image, losing the fear of nudity in a private and safe setting, and participating in a great adventure and having a good story at your next cocktail party.

Excallent chance for an actress who wants to take center stage and become identified with a memorable character. Distribution and format is not yet certain; the book version of this project and character were just published. This could wind up a short film, a feature-length film, a television series, or an internet series ("webseries"). Talent should have no prejudices with regard to media.

NOTE: project has strong mind-control themes. Actress hould be familiar with this subject matter, or willing to explore and embrace it. Project is also very sexy and cutting-edge in nature (think PG-13/Maxim/FHM costuming).

A man is disturbed by strange noises coming from his bathroom sink. He becomes obsessed with fixing it, but whatever he does just makes things worse, slowly driving him into madness.

This is a summer horror project being made by USC Graduate students from the Film and Television Production program and the Peter Stark Producing program.

He's incredibly disturbed by the noises from his broken bathroom sink. He's too proud to call the plumber, and tries to fix it himself. He becomes obsessed and falls further into madness as things get worse. This character must be able to exhibit a wide range of emotions, from calm and caring to obsessive, insane, psychotic. He seems like a normal caring husband but he's going through a strange psychosis. He also is a very do-it-yourself kind of man, too proud to ask for help.

Actually, this sounds pretty interesting. some similar themes were in Barton Fink.

Nudity/Sexual Situations: There is topless / partial nudity. You must be comfortable exposing breasts. Along with this, there will be kissing, including body parts ( except genitals ), caressing and simulated intercourse. No genitals will be filmed at all. The most extreme act that would occur is having your breasts touched by a mouth and / or caressed by hands. This will be a good role for those of you trying to break barriers or insecurities about your own body. IMPORTANT NOTE : single women are preferred for this project. IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT, DO NOT SUBMIT. .
