| If you can't find a flip on ebay, any kind of personal hd digital camera is good. Just don't get Sony if you have a Mac.
I don't recommend photobooth. Taping yourself with a laptop is awkward and the macbook cams suck. |

Any of those hd mini cams are fine. Most of the casting offices use flips and other small hd cameras. They don't expect you using a $5000 Cannon 7D or something of that caliber. |

Totally. It doesn't even have to be HD, just a relatively good quality. It's also important to get up near a window, or add some shadow reducing supplimental light, have a non-distracting background, and make sure that you're zoomed in nice and tight, but don't get too crazy about the technical stuff. It's about the scene; make that the most important thing going on. |
