I have a Thank You note question!
Last week I went in for a co-star role on a cable TV show. I read with the Casting Associate and they were casting from tape. I booked the role, and now I am wondering who I write the Thank You note to? Do I write three, one for each of the CDs and for the associate? Or just the associate?
Any and all help would be appreciated on the topic of post-booking correspondence.
Definitely a thank you note to the associate and with regards to the CDs - it depends on the office. Offices with multiple CDs sometimes break up the shows and they don't all work on every show.
If you post the office you booked it thru, maybe someone can chime in with advice on which CD is the lead on the show you booked on.
I usually just send a gift to the office. Spend 30 bucks on some muffins or something and address it to the cd's, associates, and assistants and put in a thank you card to everyone. Less than 5 percent of what you made on this project will go a very long way.
Food for thought.
Asking a question like this just seems weird to me. I know you're geniunely thankful, I'm not doubting that, so just follow your heart and forget protocol. Congrats on the role!
