Okay, so I have been in this business for well over 11 years, and I have consistently worked for about 5 of those 11 years on many indie, big budget and tv shows (with out ever needing a real job). I am finding it harder and harder for me being in the age range of 16-22. There are so many actors in this particular age range. What I am looking for currently is new theatrical representation, and I have been in front of some theatrical agency's Maverick and Sovereign but they are saying to my manager "I am awesome. I am great, although she will compete with their big money clients”…. So now I am hitting the mailed submission hard looking for the next agency to hopefully see something and pick me up.. I need some advice really. Am I doing something wrong or do I just not have enough of “Something” to get me anywhere…? Here is my new reel that my manager wants to send out: Reel: http://vimeo.com/51837758 Here is my current head-shot (getting new ones done in December to get ready for pilot season) daniellelozeautheatrical.jpg (78 Kb, 76 downloads) Theatrical Headshot

If you have a manager, you shouldn't have to do a mailing. They should be able to get you meetings with more agencies besides Maverick and Sovereign. Or - are you thinking of parting ways with your manager too and going for totally new representation? Your reel is a little long - the stuff in the beginning with the house could definitely be cut down.

The manager only does stuff as quick as they want, which to me I always feel I have to at least do stuff on my own to feel like I accomplish something. I can't just leave my entire career in their hands, because- they too have more clients than just myself. As for the reel being a bit long, it was longer. But I have been told by agencies/industry personal that they love it and it showcases enough of myself that they said to leave it as it is. The reel has gone through numerous revisions over the course of this year. I know everyone has their own opinion on reels as such as length, and many people I look up to (reels go for as long as 4 miuntes and they are with some of the biggest agencies around). I am just stuck with what my look is and what futher I need to do to get myself ahead. I would really love bigger representation to futher myself and as a team. I don't know what agency would work best for me, would it be Coast to Coast, Venture, Talent House, Stone Manners, ect...
