None of the agencies and management companies are winners. I have a friend with Trio and they seem to send him out commercially.

Check if they are licensed here (you just need the name of the agency):
http://www.dir.ca.gov/databases/dlselr/talag.html
If not licensed, stay away.

If its a management company, check whether they are a member of TMA (talent managers association) here: http://www.talentmanagers.org/
If not a member, it might be fine, but it's just a way to begin to check legitimacy.

You have a lot of research ahead of you so good luck!

I have interviewed with all except Polygon. Abraxes was the only one not licensed of the agencies.

I am just worried cause I liked shirley wilson but it was just one guy. At Trio there are like 3 +people and I assume I will find the same thing at Polygon. I really like who I interviewed with at Wilson and was not that impressed by Trio. But they had people working which means more people working for me.

Also Wilson wanted to sign me across the board but Trio just said commercially.

any other thoughts to add?

THANKS SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING!!!!

Shirley Wilson is weak. Way to aim high!

Abraxas is a management company, not an agency. They have one of the tackiest and busiest websites I've seen.

Hahaha. womp womp. I know. thanks. =)

But all of these agencies are not great and the sad part is all of these agencies are better then the last time I did mailings.

As of right now my gut is telling me Trio because more heads are better than one.

It just sucks. I am EMC, Sag-e have a reel am on all the casting websites, great headshots, tons of training, done a lot of good work but no one will even take a look. (every actors dillemma i know)

Why are you wasting mailings on crappy agencies?

SAM and I put together lists of agencies worth being with.

Can you copy the link to those agencies?

I'll try again with good folks. It's just hard. No one gives me the time of day.

I've heard good stuff about Michael Foreman and he's been in the biz for a long time. He keeps a small client list and works really hard for his clients.

I can't post links via my phone but you can go to Secret Agent Man's section and find them.

I have a friend with him. Also, I'm pretty sure he guided Eva Mendes' career when she first started.

I would not go with Michael Forman. I know him and his business personally, and although he is a nice man he has been having a lot of trouble getting clients work. He stared Eva Mendes' career when he was an agent. He is now a manager. His management company is not highly regard and the Better Business Bureau gave it an F.
