Hmm.. lots to ponder. I think the conclusion I've come to thus far is to train with teachers... and to do either workshops or just one-day intensives with cd's. So at least I've got that figured out.. and I've signed up for one already. As far as an audition class goes.. who do you think are the best? I have working experience, training, etc.. but I want to be a solid "1 take" actor.. I have my days, but I would like someone who can teach me a precise method so that I can ensure that all the time. Somewhere I can improve upon my speed and efficiency in regards to breaking down a script and/or sides.. and just rock it.. each and every time. My training is mostly Stanislavsky, which is great for when I have a lot of time.. or after I'm already cast.. but sometimes it feels like it's a bit too much and a bit overthought.. I don't want the exact opposite either.. but maybe something in the middle.. I like having some sort of structure, for sure.. something with a series of steps maybe that I can use and remember.. I don't know.. What are your thoughts? Maybe I am asking too much from a public forum lol Either way, I've been really appreciating all of everyone's honest feedback on here.. I'm kind of new to posting on this site and it feels really nice to be able to have a dialogue like this. Cheers and happy holidays Love is truth. Perception alters the facts. I don't believe in being a "one take actor" when ON SET for film/tv. The joy of doing multiple takes is so you can be different each time (something that should naturally happen if you and the other actor(s) are listening to eachother), thus giving the editor some interesting stuff to work with to make you more interesting. In the audition, it's great to have your best choices ready and if they give you a redirection, AWESOME! Now's your chance to give them something different. I've gone through a lot of the "Audition" gurus and I say either: -Annie Grindlay -Saxon Trainor -Tess Kirsch I've left Margie Haber out because you'll only get to study with her right away if you have several guest stars and major film roles. I don't think her current underlings are as good as the three mentioned above. YES, those three used to teach at Margie Haber studios and were probably the most popular teachers there. So you're getting the same stuff with the above 3 minus the bullshit ladder climbing.

Yes, it's $150 if you pay for four classes or $50 per class.

Thanks, I will check them out. I guess you really like Margie Haber's technique, since all three of them taught there. Love is truth. Perception alters the facts. Intuition leads the way.
