Can anyone suggest some good books about the business? Login/Join

I've posted various times on here, because, as you know, I want to get into the business. But I am just curious whether there are any great books I can read that are concentrated on the acting biz. Is the stanford Meisner book a good read? If so, which others should I look into?

Thanks.

The Meisner book is about training in the first year of that acting technique. Not the business. And the Esper book is better for that anyway.

Some good books on the business that I know about are "Self Management for Actors," "How to be a Working Actor," "An Agent Tells All," and "One Less Bitter Actor."

Ah! There was a thread about books on the New Actors Only section two weeks ago. http://bbs.backstage.com/group...f/932105/m/460100534

"Linchpin" by Seth Godin

Oooh....and "Turning Pro" by Steven Pressfield. His follow up to "The War of Art." EXCELLENT read.
