Hey guys,

New actor here. I'm 22 and male and I'm fairly active here. I was wondering what the best way to take care and keep skin healthy/clear? I'm typically pretty clean faced but everyone you see on film has such good skin...

Drink lots of water. Eat lots of fruit and veggies.

Avoid fried foods / pre-packaged snack foods / processed foods.

Exercise, wash your face morning and night, and moisturize.

Repeat.

They cover blemishes with make-up. Everybody has them. Brad Pitt seems to have a scarred face from pimples, to name an example.

It's not fair on yourself to make that comparison.

Moisturize, eat a balanced diet, drink enough water and stay healthy. Don't sunbathe too often, and don't pop any zits.

I've had skin issues due to oily skin. Now I hardly ever break out.

#1 - Calamine lotion is GREAT for pimples. Dries them out overnight usually.

#2 - Witch Hazel is cheap and the best toner on earth. Completely natural. It's in the first aid section next to the alcohol. REALLY great. I use it morning and night.

#3 - Absolutely water and LOW sodium LOW sugar diet. The "cleaner" you eat and drink, the "cleaner" your face and skin will be. I drink a gallon of water a day, no joke. It makes all the difference in the world.

Everyone is meant for something. Find yours. Trust it and do it. Then you'll be more happy than you ever imagined. Trust me.

I get a men's facial from a local day spa usually every 2.5 months or so. It's fantastic and very good for your complexion.

I agree with all of the tips everyone else mentioned. Staying hydrated and a low sodium/greasy diet will do wonders.

For a moisturizer recommendation, check out Nivea for Men. I've been using it for around 2 years now every morning and night and it's easy to find at a local Walmart or Walgreens:

Eating healthy is the most important thing. I'm not going to go into a long schpeel on exactly what you should eat - if you are serious look it up on the internet and do the research yourself.

If you're looking for good skin care products I like zirh (it's for men). Not cheap, but they are great products.

If things still flare up after changing your lifestyle towards something more balanced and healthy, I don't think there's anything wrong with visiting a dermatologist.

I see one and she's not just going for the profit-- she recommends things i can buy in the store to make sure i have healthy clear skin. and i see her very often!

I would recommend seeing a dermatologist. Also, on set they do put a lot of make up on you! From my experience, inbetween every take they always run up to me and add more and more stuff on! I do not look like that in real life, but on the big screen it is cool to see myself flawless! lol

What kind of lotion do y'all use? I hate the greasy after feel of most lotions. Aksois their a back applicator for easy use to get lotion on your back so I don't strain my shoulders
