Hey guys! I recently saw backstage posted a casting for Columbia MFA Film Directors seeking actors, and the audition is this coming thursday, I applied and landed a spot fortunately. Any idea if this is a good audition to attend? They said have 1 monologue prepared, but there are so many (theatre, film,tv monologues..) that I don't know which I should use. Is anyone else attending this?

Columbia grad program is one of the better film schools in the city. Yes, this would be a good one to attend. My kid did several Columbia films and they were quite good.
As far as what monologue to use, that is totally subjective to what you are good at. At this level, you are not auditioning for a FF. These are shorts, but you want to be good because these kids will someday want you for the real world.
Break a leg.

Thanks for the support man! I bet your son did a great job in those films! And hopefully they liked me enough to call me back for one.
