I recently went to Youtube to view examples of monologues used for auditions and found this awesome 1 minute monologue contest put on by Clay Banks Studio in LA. I would love to be apart of this when I feel I'm ready but I want to make sure that I'm not auditioning for a scam company that will end up taking everybody. Does anybody have any experience with either the company or the studio?

I've studied with Clay Banks before and he's a great guy.

The monologue contest is only $20-25 and you perform your monologue in front of agents, casting directors, producers, etc. Not only do you get on their radars, they also have prizes for the top people.

Thanks TruthTeller. It sounds like a great way to become known in this industry. Do you know if you have to have any experience or classes in order to qualify? Or do they just pretty much allow anybody that shows up?

It's no different than doing a CD/Agent workshop. If you can pay, you can play. But of course, you will be going up against people who are well trained and experienced.
