I'm looking for tips, articles, links, sample shots, etc. for styling my 2 year old son for headshots. I'm so tired of polos and keep getting drawn to plaids...

Keep it simple, make sure the shirts fit him well and are age appropriate. Plaids are cute, but keep it to 2 colors not multi-colors and it should compliment his eye color. I like layers, but nothing bulky. You are welcome to check out my "kids headshot" gallery for ideas.

This is going to sound a bit basic, but my advice is: dress him like a child. Keep it simple and dress him in what you think he normally looks good in. And then just follow the standard rules: no crazy prints, use colors that complement his skin and eyes, no logos, etc. Don't think of it like a costume. I don't like the bow ties and suits and things like that you sometimes see. It's cute, but feels forced.
