Hi everyone! So I had a fantastic photographer (Joanna Brooks!) take my headshots and now she has made my decision on which shots to choose for commercial and theatrical impossible! If you have a spare minute could you please give me any feedback on a commercial and theatrical headshot. (I have three pages of favorites..eeee!) I am trying to market myself as "teen" age. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!! http://reproductions.photo-pro...351780017352_01.html

I am a newbie myself, so for what its worth... I like 156 and 157 best for theatrical.

I think #7 makes for the most natural smile without getting so big you squint your eyes. #170 might work as a theatrical choice if you crop it in a little tighter. Your crossed arms is a little distracting, as well as the way your hair cascades off your shoulder. But a tighter crop on your face might make it more effective and engaging.

7, 80, 170. I totally agree with Justin on cropping 170. In fact, they can all crop in tighter. The reality is, actors are using less and less physically printed headshots now. Commercials are almost 100% electronic or bar code, and a lot of theatrical stuff is moving that way, although you're still going to need printed headshots. The key, however, is getting IN the room. How do you do that? By a CD looking at your picture in a tiny thumbnail, so that has to pop. Cropping is key for that. Just my two cents. Best of luck.
