Hi Pete! After helping a friend research MI agencies approximately 2 years ago, these were the top 3 that we found were the most productive for actors at the time. Actually, there were 4, but Productions Plus and The Talent Shop were in the process of merging. The others you mentioned were not what she was looking for and did not seem to be as strong for actors. Her focus was acting, not print or modeling. She had good luck with both PP-TTS and The iGroup. Sorry I can't offer more info about the other 2 agencies. - MIB - "If you can dream, you can do. Making it happen is up to you!"

Unique Models (in Grand Rapids MI) is just a few miles away from me. They do have a website. As for how busy they get I believe is debatable. Check for them also on Facebook

Unfortunately, our esteemed governor killed 90% of our film incentives in one fell swoop, forcing those of us who could leave the state to do just that. But for those who remain, I would say that the iGroup ranks highest on frequency of auditions, followed by Productions Plus, then Charlie's. This applies to men who can play 30-40 though. Not sure about any other demographics.

I live in Canada across the border from Detroit but I've been interested in acting in Michigan area. That's kind of all there is around where I live lol. I've been to Actorfest last May but didn't really find it helpful and I had to leave early due to work. I'm not with any agencies yet, though if I were to, I'm not sure if those top 3 would take canadian citizens... anybody know?

It won't hurt to mail them your headshot and resume and let them make that call. Just make sure to let them know if you have a passport and how easy it will be for you to travel into town to get to auditions.
