Adopt, you should give them a chance if you like them. I do know plenty of kids who have left them. After over 7 years in the biz, I know a lot of parents and kids. All kids outgrow print, so having a commercial agency in place is a nice option. But why wouldn't you submit to Abrams or Innovative? Gen has a much better on-camera department. Don't you want the best?

I am sure that Zitner is overseeing those contracts, lol. I have been on jobs where my kid was getting double or triple scale and other kids were getting straight scale. The agency does make a difference.

FFT has been around for over 30 years and their current agents in place for over ten. Very little turnover there. I wouldn't judge by someone's FB page. As I said, changes may be occurring at FF/TV, but if you are looking for print, they are a great choice.

I understand what you are all saying. Thanks for the info on fft, I was told initially that they weren't a very strong player when I was first searching. I did two jobs with ford, and product and gen were the only other agents on the call sheet. I'm not sure that I feel comfortable with that. As for tv, like I said before, I wasn't really looking for representation, and I definitely don't think I want a tv agency with minimal print at this time. I appreciate your info and will do more research. Ty

This is an official statement (directly from Megan) after speaking with her today.

She will not be going to any of the existing agencies that are currently out there. She has something in the works and is doing the best she can right now. I think between her still talking to families and in b/w those calling her after hearing from elsewhere, dealing with clients as well as doing just the day to day operations, she's really inundated with a lot. She said to just let her do her job and she will make sure we are all taken care of.

Feel free to spread the word (as said by her).

Ford closed its kids division in Miami 2 yrs ago under the same scenario-no notice to kids booker, etc. kids were not placed however, and it became a race among parents to land with one of the other top agencies, which were then all inundated with new kids. It was a hot mess. The kids booker did open her own agency but it took months for that to come to fruition with licensing, and most likely dealing with a non-compete (common in Florida). But after the dust settled, life went on. The clients used other agencies, and the old Ford agent eventually became another top agency in town with many of her old Ford kids. Hang in there New Yorkers-you guys are tough. Smiler
