Eeekkkk, seems like I missed quite a bit while on vacation. Mamaskoby- I know it could be frustrating to just sit back and wait for an audition. My youngest DD has not been to an audition for almost 3 weeks. Thank goodness she has one tomorrow. How old is your DC? Maybe it's the age. Pictures? Ethnicity? I was where you're at and it's not a good feeling. I came from a small agency where my DD got out a lot. Then for some crazy reason I changed agencies and came to a COMPLETE dry spell. I was with PMT and didn't audition while I was there. I felt like jumping ship back to Heather. Just keep in mind that pilot season just ended and now agents can breathe. Things might get back to normal. Just wait and see what Paloma says in her e-mail. Remember, it's not the agents choice who they send to an audition. It's the CDs that choose who they want to see. Best of luck to you.

Ok, P. called me today. She was very nice and wanted to make it clear she is very busy working for all of us (which of course we see how busy she is on the FB page) She also explained that my son will most likely be more busy next year when he turns 6 because he can work more hours than now.....She explained that sometimes her FB page is good bec. she can post all the projects everyone is getting but it can be bad bec. parents of other kids can get frustrated and start calling her and her sis to see what is going on, and then it becomes more about the call backs than making us money.
I know she works hard-I am almost 100 % sure she doesn't ever sleep since she posts around the clock on fb and so does her poor sis. And they both have families on top of everything they do for us!!!
For me, emailing her to check in is my way of saying "we want to work" , After all I don't get to talk to her everyday like some people do that work for her.
BTW, I am pretty sure she checks in on here just FYI!

Mamaskoby- I think you are right, of what I have heard most of the agents check in here. I went on PMT's Facebook page a couple of times and I must say, it wasnt for me. I discovered really quick that it was more of a discussion board than a "hey looked at the bookings we got". I initially thought it would be like our previous agents FB page. One of those groups that just post bookings and congratulates talent. But was disappointed because it wasn't. I love some of the posts, like the informational ones, the ones that Paloma and her sister posts but could care less for most of the others. I hope it doesnt sound negative, but I want to know about the exciting posts that I can brag to my friends. I want to point to the campaign ads and commercials and say "Hey, I know that kid.My DD's agent got that gig for them." Instead I see posts about celebs half naked posted by moms. Sorry! Not what I had in mind.
Paloma also told me the same about my 5 yr old. She would get out when she hit 6. I truly believe that. I think if our circumstances were different I would of stayed with PMT. I really like her work ethic ( her late night posts and e-mails) I also liked how genuine she seems. Kinda like our previous agent. Best of luck to you and hang in there. Its bound to pick up soon.

I think that what people are not saying, is that when Jet Set started having issues, most of the big bookers left, and went to Zuri. The casting directors knew this, they call Zuri to direct book a lot of the time.
Lindsey left before it got bad.

Paloma still has a lot of contacts, but she waited to long to leave JS. We still see PMT on the sign in sheets, but not as many as from Zuri, Osbrink, Ford, or LA Models.
I think that it will pick up, once she gets the word out, that she is no longer with JS.

Kouklaface- I hear you loud and clear! Not sure what is going on over there....but I am not interested in tasteless clutter on a professional page.

Never thought about that Greenapple. It makes sense. Too bad because Paloma works really hard for her clients. Hey Prettylittlebaby- I couldn't agree with you more! Just junk! I am sure that's not what Paloma and sisters had in mind when they started their page.

Boy do I echo everything you said Koukalaface!! But what's new!! LOL!! Since we are with Paloma, I can say someone FINALLY decided to make a separate "group" for facebook so all the "chatter" can be put on a different board. And I probably have to think as no-nonsense as Paloma and Alysa are (in a good way) because they work their tails off, they have to be happy it is now separate!! There are some mothers on there that just have nothing else to do...its a small group that just chatter all day, but its a bunch of nonsense. I want to go to a "a business site" and see quickly what's going on in the business!! Not have to read 90% garbage to get to the 10% of meat to find what I'm looking for. Now that said, there are some wonderful mothers and I love how helpful and supportive the "community" of this agency is. And only being about 6 months new, P&A are becoming very be VERY successful!!

My DD was with pmt for almost 3 week and we didn't get out once so yesterday I went back to my old agent (YTC) and today my DD went on an audition for a feature film.

Also just want to add that Paloma takes days and days to respond to emails. I'm not used to that. That's another reason why i chose to leave.

Oh and BTW, I'm sorry I don't believe when agents say don't worry about your child getting auditions til their 6. My daughter has stayed busy since she started at 2 and absolutely loves it.

I have to say, Paloma is fast in getting back to me...However, Alysa, her sister does not have the same sense of urgency. I'm glad it worked out for you. If we don't get out soon, we may need to start looking again.

Again, I think its how you rank on her list....depends on how fast she gets back to you. BTW, which agency is YTC?

Hi Prettyinpink1,
I kinda thought you would go back with Heather! I think we were spoiled there. I saw that my dd and your daughter would go to the same auditions while at YTC. My DD got out on auditions alot until the Holidays came. Being a newbie, and not knowing the business (slow seasons), I just thought I needed to make a change. I have to say, that I'm glad you're back with Heather. At least you got some new pictures out of this! Best of luck to you and your DD.
