| Pastina, good post. I also see very little value at this point because I think it can cause more harm than good. In addition to "crashers," parents who were not called might feel upset and contact their agents (which never seems like a great idea). Often unreliable information is posted to BBS in terms of breakdowns. Also, do we every REALLY know who agencies are asked to send?
I just politely ask (as did Pastina) to hold off on posting anything about future-castings until they happen. Then we can have as much dialogue as possible!!! |

| This is brought up quite often. I see no problem with posting about castings. It's not like the poster said "is anyone going to Chicco go-see today at 601 w. 26th, between 10am-2pm for toddlers 34"-38"??" First of all, it is a request. Second of all, as I have said before, if people are that pathetic that they feel the need to crash castings that they see on backstage, then let them. That is really embarrassing and it will be even more so when they are told their name is not on the list or that their child does not fit the breakdown and they wasted a trip in. My child was requested because they think he might be a good fit. There is a reason why person X's child was not. It's not going to change anything if they crash it. If they ask their agent about it, that's their problem. Let them get on their agent's bad side, not our problem. Crashing go-sees is in poor taste, a waste of time, and a waste of money. I am not going to hold back if I have a question about a casting that has not yet been held just to prevent crashers, and other posters should not be made to feel bad for doing so. I know that's not your intention, but as you can see, then it turns into "if you're telling me, why didn't you say it on this thread and that thread...." |

| I agree with NYmomoftwo. If I need info about a casting like extended times that I can't seem to get from our agent or any other info, Im not going to tiptoe around parents on here and avoid posting. If your children didt get the call then there's a reason for it. No parent should be feeling bad and no one posting should have to feel guilty or think its taboo to post. And if crashers somehow figure out or find out thru others where a casting is, then go right ahead and crash. It'll only look bad for you and your children in the long run. These cd's cast all the time and it will make them remember you...but in a bad light. |

| Apologies for the double post.
Anyway, my Ds was not "requested" for this but I wish all the children requested best of luck!! |

| I have to agree with you momto2kids. & I have seen kids who "crashed" book. At most "requests" there are so many kids and just a sign in sheet that im sure they really dont have time to compare who was requested and who wasnt-i have only been to 1 casting where they actually have the kids names on a list and cross them off as you arrive. Most important to me though is when there are extra people who werent requested or invited-it slows everyone else down! Who wants to wait at a casting for an hour before being seen!? not me lol Anyways GLTA who are attending |
