NantucketMy dd was asked to try jeans on too, after her pics were taken. Optimistic, but still think its a needle in a haystack to book this with sooo many kids that were seen. Anyone with experience know if the kids are booked for all the shoot days, or is it typically just a few hours on 1 of the days? Thx and GL!

I know "you never know" and I shouldn't try to speculate, but my DD was not asked to try jeans on...does that mean her chances are slimmer than those who were asked? She was already wearing jeans, though...would that matter?
Nantucket, I have the same question about shoot dates. How does that work, anyone? Thanks!
GL all!!

twintoddlersHard to say, but it's true, try not to read into it. At Garnet Hill last year, my son was asked to try on clothes and my daughter was not, but she booked and he didn't

mofactorNantucket & Singitbaby - In our experience H&M shoots are about 5 days long. My son has shot 3 different seasons with them and the amount of days ranged from 1 day to 3 days per shoot. He also measured too tall at the last casting but they put him on hold anyway. Turned out he wasn't called for that shoot at all. We really just don't know what to expect with H&M, other than it's a fun group of people to work with.

GLTA!

EWMomWith our experience, our agent submitted us even though she knew our DS was out of range (only by an inch at 47 but she knew he was small framed and still fit the clothes) but she did warn us about the possibility of being turned away. But he was still requested. We wound up skipping Sat thinking it would be a waste of time in the event we were turned away but heard people still got seen out of the ht range. So we went on Sunday and indeed was measured at 47, then went in to do snapshots. Client then went and asked DS to try on clothes, and conveniently we had on their jeans so they just peeked into his label and said great. So hoping maybe there are exceptions to the range. =)

a1abWondering if only kids without fitted jeans were asked to change? That was our experience no I come to think if it....

lalasmamaMy daughter had skinny jeans on and they had her try on a pair of their own jeans.

EWMomSame here, we had skinny jeans on and they asked if he could try on bottoms until we said they were already their brand.

singitbaby9Thanks, twintoddlers and mofactor

Sounds like everyone had such varying experiences. While we were there, as far as I could tell, no one was asked to try on clothes. I did, however, notice that they spent slightly more time with some kids than others (a minute?) and asked the kids to all do different things. Interesting! I hope for the best for everyone.
From what I'm reading on the boards, most shoots don't hold their callbacks or send out "holds" until shortly before the shoot. This one in NY isn't until April, so do you all think it could be a whole month before anyone hears?

MarreiNYWhen do you think we'll hear about bookings?
March 02, 2013, 06:46 PM
twintoddlersYes typically their callbacks are right before the shoot.
March 06, 2013, 06:16 PM
3princesses2princesThere were new shoot dates posted when we went. Anyone remember what those new dates were? I think Apr 4th but not sure.
March 06, 2013, 07:56 PM
twintoddlersReally? I thought they were they same shoot dates (LA, that is, maybe you are talking about NY?). We heard callbacks should be out March 13.
