They seem to add at least an inch when they measure b/c they don't hold the stick straight lol. I believe they are seeing that many kids, it was at least 4 days of casting. Our agency must have sent at least 200, I'm guessing.

We went today in NY. They had the measuring tape attached right on the wall and DD stood in stocking feet against it to measure, so I guess it was accurate today, lol. Smiler

This was our very first go-see for print work, and DD had a lot of fun! Everyone was super nice. Kids were coming and going, so there was no telling how many kids they saw just today, but while we were there, there were about 10 kids at any given time.

I didn't see anything about callback dates (and I didn't ask). Did anyone else? But shoot dates (which have changed from the dates we were originally given) are in early April. GLTA!!

We were there today as well in NY. They had DD do jumping jacks and twirl. Took some smiling shots and serious shots. Also pulled her hair back. Anyone else have to try any clothes on?

My kids were also measured on the wall with the tape. It's very accurate and my girl hoola hooped as well! GL! Have a great night!

We went yesterday, they had my ds try on jeans, play with a basketball and throw a snowball. He had so much fun, lol. They said they were hoping on no callbacks as the clients were there!

Sounds fun! We are in between for HM sizes. I love HM cothing for kids. Hope dd gets her chance when she grows some inches.

No, my girl didn't try any clothes on or hoola hoop, but they did have her do the jump and touch your feet move, and some twirling, and taking both serious and smiling shots, and at the end they did a full body profile shot, both left and right.

I hope people post when callbacks go out. Curious!

GL everyone!

So are LA and NY castings for one shoot? I'm confused.. They did have my dd do the same things and we are in LA but our shoot dates are in March and May?

I wish we knew more info., but the shoot dates for NY were definitely posted as early April. The lady measuring even made sure to point out the dates listed on the wall and asked us to make note of them for availability. They asked if we would be "in town" on those dates (just making small talk with DD while she waited - we didn't take that to mean anything to us personally - but they were all very nice) so clearly it's NY in April...but it sounds like it's all one related project between NY and LA (I'm guessing, of course).

For NY, I was told no callbacks because client was there. DD tried on jeans and took pics while jumping, twirling, profile, and smiling as well. I think the NY and LA are different gigs because of shoot dates. NY was originally shooting last week of March and now pushed back until April.

How does that work with no callbacks? Will kids just be told that they're booked? Would we have been told yesterday? Sorry if that's a silly question, but we're completely new to print work. Thanks!

Some big retailers will have a cluster of big castings like these (they're still not done yet) for a few different shoots. They may have, say, 2 big shoots for the fall campaign -- 1 in NY and one in LA-- but may also select kids from the castings for smaller shoots throughout the season as well. So even if your DC doesn't book the big shoot it doesn't mean he/she won't get called at all. But this casting seems insanely huge!

I'm sure that no one booked on the spot, singitbaby9. Since the castings are ongoing, it may be a while before bookings/fittings go out.

NY peeps, did you have a long wait?

Not a long wait in NY. We had about 4 kids in front of us and about 10 there as we were leaving. 1 boy was asked to change into jeans they had on a rack...sounds promising for him! : )

both my kids were requested on Thursday. They both were asked to try on Jeans and my daughter a top to go with the Jeans. Very fast and well organized. Shoots the first week of April. GL
