Hello!

Has anyone attended this course? Did you benefit from it, both in the craft of acting but also in the business? Anything special I should prepare for before I go? Do you get to study with Bill Esper or? I've read his book and it's fantastic.

Thanks in advance. I don't want to spend a lot of money and be disappointed.

I doubt you'll learn much about the business...mostly bc he's in NYC and not LA.

I meant, after graduation, if you've felt that the school has meant a lot for you in the business - meaning you've become a better actor but also CD/agents wants to see you because you've had good training?

Since you answered, I assume you've done the full time acting program? What's your opinions?

Hey!

I've been really looking into this school for a little while now. Really recommending myself to go there. I am hoping to get in to the 2 year program in January. This was what I was wondering also about the Studio, about leaning the business. I've read everything on him & what he has wrote. A lot of notable Alumni went there so I truly think William Esper holds some weight in the Industry because of the training. Have you applied there since posting this? If so, how did it go?

Hey all!

I am about to go into my second year as a full time student at the studio so hopefully I can offer some insight. There is a cold reading/audition class that is offered second year taught by Deb Jackel, who was named best audition coach by Backstage in 2011. She does as much as she can to help you network and brings in CDs and Agents to see your work at the end of the year. Bill also brings in alumni periodically to have talk backs with us and to help us network. Though you are not guarenteed to be in Bill's acting class, all the acting teachers are amazing and have invaluable things to offer. Choosing which class they place you in is about who they think will bring out the best in you, because each teacher has a different way of teaching and different energies they bring to the class. Hopefully this helps with some of your questions! Let me know if you have anymore!
