Anyone take a anthony meindl's class? i seen some of his videos online its always him preaching but i never any actual scene study classes online .I've seen others online just not his ,is he all talk ?
I met him at SAG-AFTRA seminar before. He's very motivational and hilarious. So if you're into the Tony Robins-esque stuff, then you might like him.
What I get from him is his method is very close to Meisner though I don't think he ever really studied with Meisner or any formal kind of Meisner name. His belief is to get out of the left brained stuff (ie. lines, objectives, obstacles, and all of the heady academic stuff) and letting your right brain take over. Part of doing that is listening and reacting to the other person and trusting that you are enough and that you don't have to create some character everytime.
oh so he's similar to david mamets approach to acting .Yes his speeches are hilarious hes definitely out there .A little to preachy for me though
Mamet studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse with Mr. Meisner, and my teacher, Mr. Alderson...his take on technique is hilarious. Love his work though.
