Any thoughts on this agency and new theatrical division headed by Jennifer Beaton (formerly of ICM)?

I think their theatrical division is only about a month old. I heard about them through an industry contact and a friend on their client list.

Secret Agent Man, Arete has been around quite a while as a commercial agency. It's owned by a former actor. More on the small side. Didn't know they had started theatrical side until looking at IMDB yesterday.

Just was on to see if either Susan Calogerakis new listing on imdb was mentioned or if a piece of rumor I heard from casting was confirmed here about another agency in trouble when I saw this post.

Personally, I believe its good karma to give credit where its due and Jen is a friend, so I had to comment.

I worked with Jennifer at ICM and just spoke to her about her new gig a week or so ago as we had been talking about sharing clients (since she was working in management until very recently)

Jennifer is very smart, motivated, excited about her job, and I think her clients will be very happy with her. I think the notables on her list speak volumes about the faith many people have in her.

Just as I believe she'd give me credit as a hustler for my client, I can attest that she will do likewise.

I was wondering about them also. I got an email requesting to possibly meet. They seem cool on imdb, but I got 2 emails and both were calling me by the wrong name.
