And this is why I refuse to give her my $500+.

Hahahahahaha. Love. This. Suddenly feel much better about that instinctual decision I'd made to not get involved with her "coaching" even though at times I'd found it tempting...

Would a post card in an envelope still be considered a post card? Or would it now be a letter?

Mailception!

You know it's time for a vacation when even your mail starts deceiving you!

If I were an agent and got a postcard from an actor in an envelope...I think I'd probably call the actor directly just to tell them to stop wasting trees.

In all fairness though, when you want to follow up with an industry member when you are in a particular show and want to mail them the postcard of the show itself along with your postcard of you pic and contact info, you should put them both in an envelope, correct?

Goddammit!

You DON'T put postcards in envelopes PERIOD!

You put your contact info on the show postcard with your actorsaccess link if you want to be smart. Also write "Cake and punch after and comp ticket!"

Good morning, time to wake up, everyone.
A postcard in an envelope misses the point of being a postcard. It's a disposable, quick, painless (to the recipient) way to carry the message "Hi, I'm still here and I'm doing awesome stuff as usual!"
Stop with the madness, the guessing, the theories. Keep it simple. Happy Friday.

And if by themselves, then where do you stick the stamp?

Jesus H, please don't send postcards in envelopes. What the heck is the point of that?

Also, this is a tip that someone passed to me and I'm paying it forward here: put all the info on ONE SIDE of the post card. That way they can see it all quickly as they go through the mail.

I've also recently, instead of spending money on postcards at a reproduction house, have been just getting 4x6 prints made as photos at CVS or Costco and putting the address and stamp on the backside. They aren't as thick paper stock as post cards, but you can print as many as you want and for about 25cents per, that's good value.

YES, the post office will deliver a photo if it's addressed as a postcard.

Ok, so just to clarify here. You're saying DON"T put postcards in envelopes? Is that right?

Ok, but if I want to send a letter then I can put a postcard in the envelope and its a letter, right? So No postcards in envelopes!
Unless I want to send it as a letter in which case PUT it in an envelope. And when I send a postcard as a letter in an envelope I'm guessing the best envelope to send my postcard in will be one of those small manila type deals, or better yet a padded, small, manila type deal with the flap sealed, metal tabs folded over, and a round of duct tape just to be sure it won't open in transit.

Thanks for helping me clear up that massive stumbling block to my successful acting career.

I hope you're being sarcastic (who knows, one could be serious).
