I am still with them and it's been slow but he has been submitting me regularly. I've had one audition. He's the only agent I've had that has stayed in contact with me trying to figure out ways to get me out there more. So I don't think anyone would have anything to lose singing with them. Smiler

@Actor_EMan

There is nothing wrong with finding out information for free that doesn't have to cost a thing. And why are you here anyway? To talk people into paying for IMDB Pro because you work for them?

FYI I stopped paying for that because I found out I can easily find out who's represented by who just using google. Which is very free and legal.

We actors have enough expenses as it is paying for headshots/breakdown sites, etc. If we can talk to each other in a free forum then we will do that before paying for something that isn't really that necessary.

I got contacted by them via LA Casting Talent Scout the same day as Ziggy and myek. They wanted to set up a meeting to discuss possible representation.
I responded and said I'd be open to meeting with them, and they haven't responded since.

I've been with Elysium for several months now, and Ryan has honestly gotten me out on more auditions than either of my previous 2 agencies combined did over a couple of years.

It's a new agency and it's building, but he is upfront about that, and they offer a non-exclusive contract that you can cancel at any time, so there is no risk to the actor. I wasn't even looking for an agent after my last agency folded because I decided to focus on my writing projects instead, but when Ryan contacted me from a profile I still had up on LA Casting, I figured it couldn't hurt to sign up since there's essentially no long-term obligation, and if they got me out, cool, if they didn't, no biggee since I'm not all that active these days anyway. Well, surprise surprise, I go out frequently now. Would have been nice back when I was 20 and brand new. Wink

He did suggest I get a few activity shots to add to my online submission profiles for variety, but he didn't pitch a photographer and even suggested getting a friend who was into photography to take a few shots if I didn't want to do a whole headshot shoot, since the photos I came in with were fine for primary and I didn't need to do new ones.

So, in my experience, all above board. Obviously, if you have "bigger fish" agencies on the line, that's great, but everyone has to start somewhere, both actors and agents. Wink

Ive been with Ryan for months now too and I've actually gone on auditions regularly some small and some big auditions as far as booking well thats my own issue. I go out more than my actor friends who have been signed for years. Either way I'm happy, and I believe sometimes newer agents will work harder, and he works his ass off which I like. Also, he stays in contact frequently and works with his clients. Anyways, especially for newer actors maybe its a good thing to sign with a newer agent seriously you can't expect to be signed with brad pitts agent if you have no experience? Hes non exclusive so the way I look at it, you can only gain by signing if you arent sighned or have a lame agent who doesnt get you out Smiler

You're only supposed to have one agent for commercial and or theatrical in LA. How did he define this for you? Do you have more than one agent? I mentioned I had another agent but would consider switching if he wanted to meet and he declined lol.

just another actor..
