If one is lucky enough to have a manager and agent, does that mean more opportunities/auditions for that actor?

It may. A manager might have more theatrical contacts while the agent may have more commercial. That is what we seem to experience. Good mix between Theatrical and commercial with both.

The more people you have working to get you out there, the better. Especially if they work well together and communicate.

The more GOOD people you have working for you the better. You also have to be willing to take a smaller cut. That 25% of your acting income isn't a lot when its 0....but if you're someone who rakes in 40 or 50 a year acting that extra 10-15 perfect could mean having to get a day job.

Make sure the agents are with the same agency. It doesn't make sense to be with too many agencies unless you are making big bucks. My kid's agency has 3 good agents and I see all their names on theatrical and commercial audition notices that are filtered through his manager. All reps should be able to secure auditions. Don't spread yourself thin thinking more is better. And they have to communicate which makes having one agency preferred.

Well yes, as LuckyMe73 said, the More GOOD people you have, the better your chances are of getting in the door. As with all areas in life, if you have idiots on your team, they can do more damage then help.

TaylorS: "What about a manager + theatrical and commercial agents." It's the same thing that was asked about to begin with, the two agents would not have to have any interaction as they don't cover the same projects. You could also have a modeling agent if you wanted.

I've read it's usually better for kids I guess because they are just starting out; maybe Truth can explain why. Anyway, for adults you typically want separate theatrical and commercial because many agencies are stronger for one or the other.
