Ethnically ambiguous - commercial vs. theatrical world. SAM - agent perspective? Login/Join

I don't know if anyone (aside from SAM) can/will have an "answer" to this but I'd love to get some feedback posted?

We all know the market changes commercially, a recent trend has been "ethnically ambiguous." What are thoughts of whether EA is a trend/advantage in the theatrical world or not?

For us actors, obviously watching television & film is one way to see the types of actors that are being cast in various roles. My question is whether "ethnically ambiguous" is a marketable casting term used to narrow down submissions in the theatrical world as well? Without access to the Breakdowns (I'm talking the network level Breakdowns our agents and managers receive, not just our Actors Access releases) there's no way to know.

Does anyone have any insight, SAM? EA a trend you see in theatrical breakdowns?

It is not the same as with commercials, since they want to fill some sort of quota with varying ethnicities. I guess it depends just how ambiguous you look.

I do have to say, that women of mixed ethnicities have a tendency of being fantastically beautiful.
