Aeternalis Theatre will be presenting The Credeaux Canvas by Keith Bunin this November at the historic Gene Frankel Theatre, running Wednesdays-Saturdays from November 4th through November 21st. Directed by Bryan Radtke, the intense character drama concerns two East Village artists who attempt to scam a wealthy art buyer into purchasing a falsified classic painting.

The cast will feature Billie Colombaro, Megan Melnyk, Sergey Nagorny, and RJ Passetti.

In The Credeaux Canvas, Winston (Passetti), a young painter, shares an East Village apartment with Jamie (Nagorny), the son of a prominent art dealer. After the death of his father, who disinherited him, Jamie is spun into the depths of despair, and it seems that neither Winston nor Jamie's girlfriend, Amelia (Melnyk), can do anything to help him. But then Jamie has a brilliant idea. On his way home from the reading of the will Jamie ran into Tess (Colombaro), one of his father's richest, most important collectors. Jamie lies to Tess, telling her that his father left him one in a series of the rarest of all of Credeaux's canvases and that she must buy it. Convinced that they will all three be set, Jamie talks Winston into inventing this painting, with Amelia as the model. The relationships between the three begin to shift as their needs and desires become more evident, and once the painting is completed and Tess enters their lives, everything comes out in the open, and no one escapes unscathed.

The Credeaux Canvas will run from November 4th through November 21st at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street), playing Wednesday-Saturday, with 8pm performances Wed, Thur, Fri, and Sat evenings as well as 2pm matinees on Saturday 11/7, 11/14, and 11/21.

Tickets are priced at $20 ($15 for students) and can be bought online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com
