It's been a while since I've been on the boards, mainly because I've been SO busy. For the last few months, I've been planning and producing my own webseries, "The Retributioners." JUST as we were filming our first episode, the writer's strike happened. I knew it was time to put this thing together full speed ahead.
I created it, produced it, and I'm starring in it. My husband directed it, wrote the 'outline script,'....and we BOTH did the video editing (I never knew how to, I taught myself as I went along)! It's an unscripted show. The actors improvise their dialogue.
It's in the vain of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" but the story is told from the perspective of a vindictive woman who contacts folks from her past and tries to humiliate them.
OMG- what a great idea! I love it! As a fellow grudge holder , I thoroughly enjoyed the Prologue & Ep.1. Also a Cardozo alumni but many years before you! LOL Best of luck with this project- I could also see it as a 1 woman show!

And for all others, I posted "Episode 2: Juanita Crackwhore," last week!
It's been quite a crazy experience. You can check us out on YouTube, but we're actually starting to get a lot of comments on Funny or Die, which is the Will Ferrell site. You can check it out here:
Well, the writer's strike is over, but my webseries continues. I just uploaded "Episode 3: Evicted" of "The Retributioners."
I'm really liking Funny or Die's site. You're kind of a bigger fish in a smaller pond for promoting your work, and it's a very targeted audience. You also get to vote "Funny" if you find the video funny!
Here's the link to my channel, as well as the YouTube channel. Based on very true events....
Oh yeah, I never told you guys when I uploaded Episode 4 of "The Retributioners." I titled it, "Drunk Dial Party." Yep, it's exactly as it sounds. We're actually filming Episode 5 tomorrow, and hopefully it won't rain!
"Funny or Die" has been a great venue for us. Amazing actually.
