AERY THEATRE COMPANY 20/20 ONE-ACT COMPETITION. For those in the Northern Westchester/Putnam area, stop by on Saturday, Sept 6th to see my DS compete in the competition. He is the lead in Cinnamon Apple Pie. Last year the play he was in came in runner up. Come on up, the audience votes. Thanks, http://www.philipstowndepottheatre.org/index.php?option...icle&id=25&Itemid=31
Here is an update. They started with 20 new plays, asked 12 to be performed. 4 each night for three nights. Next week the winners and wild cards will perform.
David's play won on Saturday and will be in the group during this Friday's show. My opening monologue VO even got five laughts.... Since this is heavily attended by playwrights and directors, David was asked to audition for several upcoming plays.(inc 1000 Clowns)
Not familiar with that. Will search and find out though. However, some of the folks from the Elmwood Playhouse are showing their work at the competition and have asked David to audition for one of their upcoming shows..... Thanks for the thought. GT
Just one last note. Cinnamon Apple Pie came in second in this years festival. The director was voted Best Director. This was a real honor for a 14 year old to lead a play against this competition from established playwrights and actors. I thank those that attended.
