Adapted from the cult film "Bagdad Cafe", the play tells the story of a lonely, ill-assorted group of people living in a run-down truckstop cafe and motel in the Mojave Desert and how their lives are changed by the appearance of a comfortably-built German female tourist with a talent for magic tricks.
