Tara is thrilled to be a part of Orange County’s newest professional theater company, 3D Theatricals, in their inaugural production of
Peter Pan at the beautiful
OC Pavilion in Santa Ana.
Based on J.M. Barrie's tale of the same name,
Peter Pan is the story of the boy who didn't want to grow up. When he brings the Darling children with him to Neverland, he finally defeats his foe, Captain Hook. The score includes "I've Got to Crow", "I'm Flying", and "I Won't Grow Up".
The original 1954 Broadway production, starring Mary Martin as Peter and Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook, earned Tony Awards for both stars. The show was revived in 1979 on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, starring Sandy Duncan and George Rose, and ran for 554 performances. Duncan was nominated for the Best Actress Tony, and the show was nominated for Best Revival of a Musical. Additional Broadway productions were mounted in 1990 and 1999 starring former Olympic gymnast Cathy Rigby as Peter. Both the 1990 and 1999 productions received Tony nominations for Best Revival of a Musical.
3D Theatricals’ production of
Peter Pan is directed by Dana Solimando (Tiger Lily in the 1999 Broadway revival), and features a cast that includes veterans of Broadway, film and television, as well as members from the most recent national tour of the show.
Performances will run December 4th through 20th, Tuesdays through Sundays. Tickets are available online at
www.ocpavilion.com, through the box office at (714) 550-0880, or through
