There is another thread that touches on this topic and I think it needs its own space.

Remember, YOU have total control of what you will submit your child for. There is no reason for your child to even SEE the breakdowns until you have OKd them.

Here's one that was sent out recently:
quote:
"A MAN is sitting alone in his apartment, masturbating, when a sick GIRL (12) knocks on his door. Even if the world is about to end he decides to try and help her, but his quest turns more extreme than he had imagined when he has to remove her leg to make her survive."

Yuk.

I don't even want my girl to see that breakdown. What parent would possibly submit their CHILD for it??!

ick!!!!

When I was submitting DD for student films, I would print out the pre-approved (by me) breakdowns and let her look at them. We decided together if it was a project she wanted to pursue.

I think its a good idea like kipmil said,to look at the breakdowns together (after being approved)because it is the child that is gooing to audition for the role and maybe there might be one the child really is intrested in as oppsed to maybe one he/she has no intrest in at all.

Do you mind sharing what site this was on? Was it craigslist or mandy by any chance?

Is it better to submit online rather than via photos via mail? I called one agency and she suggested I submit hard photos...Does it make a difference one way or the other?

We've had great results with online submissions for student and indie projects. But, I've also never done a hard copy submission.
