I have a boy 11 and girl 13. We just moved from the Orlando/Tampa market where we had started in the biz about a year ago. We used a couple agents down there for print and then another for tv/commercials. What is the norm in the Philly/NY markets? Even though the agents booked different things..they still seemed to get miffed when they found out you worked with someone else. Is this the same situation up here? Any recommendations on what to do?

What do you mean by norm? Freelancing is accepted in NY; and people can have different agents for print/commercial/legit etc. if someone wants to send you out on something, of course you just tell them you were already considered for that. I would think if the agent keeps getting miffed you''ll have to make a business decision as to what's best for you.

Thanks for your thoughts..so freelancing is common place and acceptable. I just wanted to be prepared if the question re: working with other agents comes up at an initial agency meeting. We are starting in Philly.
