Can anyone tell me the height requirements for the children dancers for Grinch? Has anyone been on this audition before? Are they looking for good technique or more for prsonality? Is it more hip-hop or jazz? Just wondering if it is worth the trouble to fly up from Memphis for auditions on the 11th. Thanks!

I had heard under 5 ft. We were going to go but have a conflict now.

All of the notices I have seen on it do not list a height restriction. My DS said someone told him it was under 5 feet which is why I posted the question. Did you see that some where?

DS had fun. Found the dancing very hard. They were looking for extra talent and DS juggles. He never got the chance to show them which was kinda sad but... we learn something at every audition. It was a fun day.

My son went, too. Dancing was quite fast, he said. He was cut the first round, but still had fun and wanted to go back to support his friends who made it to the second round. We see it as nothing but positive that he didn't make it. You never know what they are looking for, but will keep trying. My son is still quite young. It gives us time to see what the auditions are all about and continue to work hard in the meantime. Good luch to all that made it!

My daughter didn't make it to the second round. She danced but didn't get to show off her circus skills which is why we went. It was fun for the kids but hot and crowded.

i went to the adult to play kids call yesterday. the dance was so much fun. i'm not a dancer, but i had a lot of fun, and did pretty well. i was cut, but that's ok. they told us "if you look like a dancing human, you're at the wrong audition!" hehe the team was just SOOO great, and so much fun.

there was definitely a mix of ladies, i'd say most of us were in the short young looking crowd, but there were taller and older looking girls too.

and there were 3 real kids there, all decked out in ballet clothes. i felt kinda bad because they really stuck out. i hope they did well!

after the combo, we were asked to cartwheel across the room. ugh... because of a wrist injury, i can't cartwheel, so i just did some crazy version of "stop drop and roll" haha it was all i could think of lol i didn't want to make a lame excuse or anything.

i can do other things though, but they didn't ask to hear of any other special skills, so... and if it weren't a hard floor, i would have summersaulted. i'm surprised that all of those girls could cartwheel! hehe crazy...

but i'll still go to the singers call.
