Wow! Thanks for all this great info. It helps so much. I was really confused about how to get my baby started and there's so many scams out there. Every search I did on the www just brought up sites that wanted my $.

Can you recommend a good photographer of children in the LA area? My baby's just 15mos. and I'm not sure I want to use the person my agent recommends.

I'm just curious--why does a 15 month old baby need professional photographs because they change every few weeks? Are you sure your agent is legit?

csilvera is right, my son is 5. no one has ever requested that i take professional pictures of him. snapshots - good ones - will suffice. he has been with - and is now - with reputable representation.

I agree with the other posters. By the time you get the pictures back and printed your baby will have changed. I would talk to the agent about it.

Now I'm wondering if I'm being scammed but she hasn't asked for any $ up front. We haven't talked about % either. Agent seems eager to get my baby started cause she says ethnic (specifically Asian & hispanic) is in big demand and she has quite a few auditions she can send us on.

I did a search for the agency that wants to take my toddler on. Any thoughts about it? http://www.easybackgroundcheck.com/largo.html. Guess they're not licensed. Should I not be going with them then. I had some reservations about taking photos cause babies change so often but the agent said she needs a zed card. Do I need to do more research before proceeding with this agency?
Thanks for the replies!

Do you want to post the name of the Agency? Maybe somebody here has dealt with them or knows about them.

Hi, I'm new here also. My daughter has been doing this since March, she's 9. I see from your easybackground check that it's the Largo Group. From what I hear, they are not reputable. You can Google them and find that out. Just be careful. Being repped by just anyone is worse than not being repped. The time will come, believe me, I know! LOL Good Luck!

SydneysMom doesn't need a bump, she has a 10 month old baby that did a print shoot because she's married to the photographer and now is activley looking for a manager (ahaha) for her 10 month old baby's "career".

I should point out, there is ALOT more to this story then what appears here on Backstage.com

I'm married to the photographer? Apparently you're adding more to the story that I must not know about. You have much too much free time on your hands if you can sit at your computer and harrass me.

You live in Charlotte NC...

You have posted on gawd knows how many web forums looking for a talent manager (ahaha) for your 10 month old daughter.

10 month old babies don't need talent managers, maybe an agent for print work, but a manager? I think you are confused about what a manager is.

I am the board troll whacker.

Should I keep going?
