Anyone familiar with Tannen? Sent my son's pics called for a interview!

If you search this board you will find a number of discussions on Tannen's. They are managers not agents. The general thought is to try NY agencies first.

I was called to interview with them and went..... I also had a friend that signed with them, BUT they insist you have photos taken they know a photographer I believe it was like $350. Then they do a HARD sell on their acting classes. Oh we would love to have your son take our acting classes, oh I would like him to get into these classes, oh these classes are so helpful. So while they do send you on go sees they will have you take expensive photographs and try to get you signed up for their acting classes right there onsite! That turned me off!

I see red flags when someone tries to sell me HARD on anything... It tunes me off big time...
~Avery's Dad, just send the pictures out to the agents. Read the boards & ask questions if you can't find what you are looking for, OH also use GOOGLE... They have been very helpful for me.... Good luck...

My daughter was asked to sign with them. Because we live in Westchester, I met with them. Before she signed with Product,we met some of the kids working on gigs I got through Craigslist. I know they send kids into the city through Gilla Roos. They seem legitimate, but are not one of the larger agencies.I'm glad we looked into the bigger agencies as Product has been great.
