Let me make a long story short, before I knew any better in the beginning my dd was enrolled at John Casablanca's, about a month into the classes my daughter told me that she was not learning anything...I wrote them a letter(certified) stating that she would no longer be attending due to a few reasons and that they would NOT receive the balance due to them at FIRST they tried to say that I had to pay the balance because it was about a month in but when I made my argument as to why they would NOT be getting the balance of their money, they had no argument and theat was the END of US dealing with them!!! So I would say(and this speaking for experience)that it would truly be a WASTE of your TIME and MONEY!!!

Thanks ;~) all of this was very helpful... I already had made up my mind before I posted this, but wanted to put it out there to see what other though about them... I had talked to someone on the phone yesterday and I told them I needed to call them back.. So I will call them back and post after I do.... This should be funny ;~)

Rosie, your child is gorgeous. Don't waste your time calling scammers back, unless you just want the story to tell.

Just research the children's agents and managers on this message board by using the Find function and you'll easily figure out which ones are well-reputed, from posts from people who have first-hand experience.

Ok I called the lady back and told her that I did google them, found them on ripoffrepot and at other websites also. She didn't have much to say to me after I told her that I also have been talk to people on the Back Stage forums also.. However she did still try and get to come there to meet with her, she said that my DD might need to take classes to get started.

I told her that I have already got my DD's pictures done in NY and they told me that I sould just send them out and wait to hear back from someone....
So with all of that said she was like well if you ever want to get any work in CT that I should call them so that they can find her jobs here in CT....

I think you can find work locally yourself, cant ya? I do think training is important, for all ages. It wouldn't hurt to look around for schools or theatre camps, if acting is something your child wants to do.
