Hi. As I mentioned I am new here. My daughter is supposed to meet w/ a talent agent tomorrow & I have 2 head shots that I have to pick from. Can I get your opinion which one I should use?

Just to give you a little info on my daughter...she is 8 but looks younger. We went to an open call last week @ a casting agent. They loved her & thought she was very professional. They said w/ her size & voice she could play 5 or 6 year olds parts. She needs an agent though.

So that's where I am Smiler

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Any advice what I should expect @ the agents tomorrow or I should ask?

Are you meeting with an agent or Manager -- big difference. I have not looked at them but any agent/manager who reps your daughter is going to want to pick out the pics done by a professional photographer.

Did you attend an open call with a casting director or a talent agent? There is no job title of "casting agent" in the biz. A casting director is the person who auditions and casts talent. A talent agent is the person who finds work/auditions for the talent. Hope this is helpful. Smiler

The agent will call your DD in by herself. They will chat with her for a few minutes and then have her read a commercial. If she sings, they might ask her to sing. Depending upon the agency, or how much she wows them, they MIGHT ask to speak to you...or the receptionist might tell you they will call you... or you might be asked to call them on a specific day. In some cases, they might offer you a contract on the spot. These are the possible scenarios. GL!

Thanks to both replies! Sorry for the confusion...I am new to this. The open call she went to was for a casting director. After she did read for & then they called me in. It was then they said she needed to have a talent agent. I guess based on what you said I should bring both pictures (I see that they posted below the message).

Thanks again for your help!

Did they set you up with this talent agent? Or did you find them on your own?

They gave me a few names but this one seems to be a name people have heard.
