Is this site primarily for LA? I've been using backstage & nycastings to look for castings for my son in the NY area. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? There's not much on them. I signed up for nowcasting but I'm seeing a lot of LA stuff.

For NY, try ActorsAccess and NYcasting (no "s"). Good luck Smiler

Thanks for your help. I've been using nycastings (with and "s"). Anyone know the deal with them? Any good? Or should I cancel my membership with them and go with nycasting (no "s")?

When we were in NY/NJ, the kids agency and manager both wanted them on ActorsAccess, and managers suggested nycasting as a second legit site to consider for self submission. we are in LA now, and haven't looked at nycasting for a while. Sorry I can't be more help.

Both Actors Access and NYcasting (no S) can be assigned by representation or by yourself. NYcastings (with the S)can be for self submissions in specific categories with no connection to representation. I have been successful with submissions and my daughter was cast for "Doubt" for two days from a self submission. It is worth it for us.Other sites...castingNY and impossible casting...both free. For theatre...playbill.com under job listings.
