I'd like to just say one thing without targeting any company or school or talent convention or event...

The CHILDREN who are very impressionable are the ones that the ads target..the commecials on TV and the radio and get them all excited when they hear a celebrity's name and especially Disney or Nick and the "hot" new teen/tween movie out in the theaters and between they are trusting that whoever the "enticement" is, whether it be an agent a casting director AND/OR more importantly that celebrity that they look up to and spend money to buy their records and join their fan clubs and stand on lines for 6 hours JUST to get an autograph STANDS BEHIND whatever company, school, event they have attached themselves to!

I don't care a pirates booty if the audition is free or if a parent had the right to just pick up and walk away and not sign a contract or leave any money. A child, a teen, a minor was enticed by that celebrity or a casting director or agent who discovered the biggest teen throb on TV or in the movies and they are believing that whatever they are being lead to is the right path for them to take as THESE PEOPLE represent the INDUSTRY and should know the industry standards that are in place that dictate whether or NOT a company, event, school or whatever is legit or worth a parents hard earned money.

The Celebrities like Adrian and many other have the ability to take these new kids by the hands and say, I know the path you need to take, I've been there done that and show them the right way to work their way through this crazy maze we call showbiz! Think, all of you, as you would represent yourselves on a panel talking to parents at a SAG seminar for new parents/kids or any theatrical union seminar for new parents and think of the industry standards in place and think of what you would tell those new parents/kids on how to jumpstart their career. Yikes, the young stars don't even know the power they have on these young people's lives...and what they can do with their own life and raise money for worthy children's causes.

Does a child just have to be a STAR..and by what standards? Hollywood and everyone that says they are an industry expert? Is a child that has talent and perhaps never made it to the big screen NOT A STAR? Thousands of kids have passed before me AND I consider ALL OF THEM STARS, every one of them..from the ones working hard and studying their craft to the ones just having fun with community theater or school plays, local tv/film and those with special needs that are looking to be included in this industry and who use the arts for therapy as well.

There seems to be an apology here..I'm not sure why or what happened and I don't care to ask as well. It's not my concern and just these two companies are not my concern.

My concern and the children's concern and the parents concerns is that they look up to the person attending these events as the FIRST INDUSTRY contact they see, knowing nothing about the biz, totally green and believing that that teen star, that big hollywood casting director, that big-time agent that discovered Hanna Montana and the like is taking them by the hand and showing them the first step in beginning their career.

If Adrian had been the enticement for a lot of these events for several different companies, as I've also seen his name attached to another talent/modeling convention, I sincerely hope that he and everyone else that associates their name with any company truly believes that this is the right way to start out.

I'm not passing judgement on any company. I have my own thoughts and will keep them as such..I'm just looking through the eyes of the kids who are believing in that Hollywood rep that they've come face to face with and trusting them, along with the parents who are spending their hard earned money.

This is about the kids guys!!

Hi, I am thankful for this site to help me get input on different companies/agencies. I've read through other topics regarding Adrian R'Mante. Well, we got an e-mail in October from Blue Sky Media Network stating:

Adrian R'Mante presents the Blue Sky Media Network.

Congratulations! You are invited to audition this weekend for Blue Sky Media Network's commercial featuring Adrian R'Mante, co-star of Disney's Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck.

Just click the link below to reserve your spot for the audition.

www.BlueSkyMediaNetwork.com

Adrian R'Mante

I took my daughter and was told that it was for a commercial with Adrian R'Mante. My daughter went in and read some lines that she had to memorize and we sat and waited. A lady called us over and told us that if my daughter were to get chosen, they would call me that same week. I never heard from them so I thought that it was the end of that.

Just last Friday, I got a call from "Anthony" with a number in the San Jose or in the South Bay because the area code was 408. He left me a message saying that he was sorry for getting back to me so late but that my daughter was chosen to work with Adrian in the commercial and invited to be part of the network. I was curious to hear what he had to say and so I called back. He didn't pick up the phone and so he called me back and I answered. (Like I said, thank goodness for this website to teach me some stuff). He told me that my daughter was chosen and sorry for taking so long to get back to me. She was chosen to be part of "the network". He said that hundreds of kids auditioned on that day but only 30 were chosen to be part of "the network". He asked me to bring her on Saturday so that we could talk about it. I asked right away, "How much is this going to cost me?" I think I threw him off and wasn't expecting it because he said, "Packages start at $700 and up." I asked him, "So, if my daughter signs up for Adrian R'Mante Young Actors Camp, then she would be doing this commercial with him?" He said, "Well no, the classes would help her and then Adrian would see if she was good to be in it." RED FLAG!! I wasn't going to sign her up for anything after reading some stuff about Adrian on other sites too. I told him that I would get back to him because I would have to discuss it with my husband. I also asked him where these classes would be held at and he told me in San Francisco. Of course, I wasn't going to call him back though.

After I hung up, I went online to Adrian R'Mante's Young Actors Camp website: www.theyoungactorscamp.com and was curious to see if there was an office in San Francisco. I only saw that they had camps in Southern California. I found a contact number on the website to call. I called the number and on the voicemail was given another number if I needed to get a hold of someone. I had also left a voicemail at that number and decided to call the other number too. Nobody picked up and I left a voicemail. My voicemail was to ask if there was a camp located in San Francisco or just in Southern California. I was curious to see if someone was using Adrian R'Mante's name out there to have people sign up for classes.

This Anthony never called me regarding Saturday but on Sunday I had a voicemail on my phone. It was odd because my phone didn't even ring and I had a voicemail. It said, "Hi, this is ___ R'Mante calling you back." I couldn't understand the first name at all and I don't know if that was done purposely. He said that he was getting back to me and that there was going to be a camp opening up in San Francisco. He told me to call back at the number that I had called (the second one) to discuss it over with me.

I never called back because I wanted to know if anyone has heard or going through something like this. It just doesn't sound accurate or just odd. When I call that second number, it's a cell phone number and it doesn't say who it is but just that your call has been forwarded to a voicemail.

This scam is currently in Boston, appearing at the Marriot Copley hotel. Now, it is not "ACT" but "The". There was an 888 number to call, there was some pre-recorded message and clips from some disney show person played during the recording. They sent me an email to confirm my appointment from Auditions@OnDemandActors.net.

The email consisted of directions to the hotel plus the following:

Models should bring in their portfolio book. Bring a headshot, mid length, and
full body shot and be prepared to explain "Why you want to be a Model"
Actors will perform the attached commercial on camera.

Bring two pictures that we can keep. A medium shot showing head and shoulders is
preferable. The dress is upscale, no jeans or sneakers. Dress like your going to
a nice dinner.

See you at the Audition and Good Luck!

I am confused! Perhaps now Adrian is endorsing ACT or THE? He is asking kids/teens to sign up for the chance to meet an agent for an upcoming event for "THE". "You can be a big star" picture of Adrian in the Real Life outfit and saying that an real life Hollywood agent will be in the area and to register for the audition and say that Estaban....sent you!

http://123audition.tv/

Again, without commenting on any specific company and talking about whether their program is or isn't something kids should participate in, my concern is those who do work with companies to entice the children to the event or audition and that they do stand behind the company/school/event.

So at this point I think we are all confused. I guess things have changed since this last posting and if so, Adrian and ACT once again have a working relationship. Why were parents told that relationship was over?

Its important for the kids/parents to know and it's important to understand why a statement was made like this and now we see Adrian once again part of the marketing with this company. That was a pretty strong statement to make just a few months ago.

Now possibly some may understand the confusion and why parents raise flags and question.

Okay..driving in my car and I finally heard the advertisement on the radio..mentioning Salena Gomez and an audition for an agent and the phone number did lead to Adrian's R'Amante speech just like on the act123 website...so the once off again relationship must be an on again relationship. Just wish everyone would make up their minds and be truthful...is that too much to ask for?

888 999-6619 is the number advertised.

Hi Janet and all interested,
I just want clear up some of the confusion by saying that there is STILL NO relationship with THE or ACT and there will never be again!! NO on again off again relationship of any kind!! When he ended the relationship with these companies, it was for GOOD!! Unfortunately, Adrian did do the referenced ads on this blog for radio and the website but only to be used during his relationship with ACT. He was doing a 3 hour workshop with ACT for an 8 month period to work with young actors and a Q&A for parents about the biz. Nothing more or nothing less and never did prior promotions for "THE" by the way, he was only cast through his theatrical agent to co-host their event like many other celebs in the past...Madison Pettis, Malise Jow, Phil Lewis, and the list goes on...which is how the whole relationship started. The truth is...his appearance agent(different than theatrical agent) organized his collaboration with ACT and thought it would be a good opportunity to meet young actors for his celebrity summer camp. The relationship lasted from Oct. of '08 and ended in June of '09...He ended the relationship because he didn't feel confident or comfortable with the company anymore. The current problem he is facing is ACT refuses and will NOT take down the website(123audition)after a number of requests. And now they have switched the site to promote "THE" without permission or agreement, which wouldn't be granted anyway. He continues to hear that the company is using voice from the radio ad for the 888 number when families call in. ACT and THE deny the use of his voice on the recording for the 888 number and will not remove Adrian from the 123aud website. To families and others interested, Adrian DOES NOT PROMOTE "ACT" or "THE" and regrets any prior relationship with the company!! I just wanna say to the negative bloggers out there…please recognize that he could still be working with the company but chooses not to be....Just one example, he was offered a nice pay day to return a second year to host the '09 "THE" event and turned it down. He is in the process of getting a cease and desist letter for ACT and THE! His company is an open book so please feel free to call anytime with questions. 310-740-1986
And just for the record...Adrian's business model was designed to market acting schools to find young talented performers and give them an invite to the celebrity summer camp in LA. We have learned the hard way, as a company, you can not control how these acting schools sell their business but you can control who you affiliate with once you do find out! Again, we have nothing to hide so call us!!!

The site is down, temporarily.

I truly look at all of this in a very general way...not by company/event/audition..not to single one out more than another, not that one is better or worse than another.

My concern is that EVERYONE does their homework to make sure it's a good fit, whether purchasing a product/service and that the industry reps involved have also done their homework and research and know its a good fit and that an event/audition/school, whatever it may be would also be acceptable through theatrical union standards and consumer laws/regulations.

I hope this year, 2010 brings about positive things for the kids.
