We are coming to NYC for the summer and are signed with a great print agency. As soon as we find a sublet, we'll be on our way. My dd doesn't have comp cards but her agent said that she is fine with just great snapshots. This is a wonderful agency that is discussed a lot on this board (with great reputation) so I do trust them. Does everyone drop off comps at the go-sees or do some just leave photos with their info?

Also, is summer very busy for print work? What are the "sizes" or heights that are "in size" and busy currently?

Thank you all!

Alot of children under 4 use snapshots with their information (name, agency, phone, dob, size) printed on the back. Comp cards/snapshots aren't even taken at all go sees so I wouldn't worry about that. This is the busy season through Sept/Oct. Good luck!

Thank you so much for responding! Can you also tell me what part of the city the majority of the go-sees are in? We are looking for a sublet and want to be local if possible. Thanks again. Advice is always appreciated! Good luck to you as well.

I am fairly new to the biz, but most of the go-see are on the west side of manhattan between 15th and 50th street. We have on occasion been called to lower manhattan, and of course, it seems that all Babies R Us and Toys R Us are in Union City in New Jersey.

Thank you! It's been imossible to find a good sublet but we will be there soon enough.

What do the children (4-6 yr old range) typically wear for a go-see? More eclectic or preppy/clean? Is it preferred for girls to wear their hair back to see their face? TIA!

Hi, I dress my 6 year old in the more 'preppy', 'GAP' category but it depends on the go see or audition. My son loves skating so if it is an 'edgier' client he is seeing I dress him a little differently. Just make sure they are neat. Wink
